Be A Part Of The Thanksgiving Basket Drive

Service begins at home. Wherever you are from, or your background, you can always find someone to help, and what better time is there to serve others than over Thanksgiving.

For the last five years Color My World have been working with willing volunteers in New Hampshire to make and donate Thanksgiving baskets to the people in need. No extraordinary amount of time or resources are needed to support those in need in your community. Volunteers only need a willingness to sacrifice of their free time and resources for those in need in their community.

What goes in the Thanksgiving basket?
Each Thanksgiving basket is created to provide a family in need with the supplies to celebrate the day as it should be. Each family should have a belly full of food, surrounded by loved ones, and hope for the year ahead. See below to learn the variety of donations that each Thanksgiving basket contains.

On November 20 (3 – 6pm) and November 21 (9 – 1pm), individuals and families in the New Hampshire area will be able to provide supplies for the Thanksgiving baskets. Those willing to contribute can bring the items mentioned above, or anything else they may want to include to the Hughes home at 18 Karolina Lane, Bedford, NH, 03110. After collecting all the supplies for Thanksgiving, baskets will be made up, and prepared for delivery to those in need.

Once these baskets are created, they are sent to the Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester. Each basket will then be delivered to families in need in the local communities.

The efforts over Thanksgiving help hundreds of individuals over the holiday season. By donating only a few hours of your time, and excess food and treats, you can make a real difference in the lives of these less fortunate.
